Occupational & Physiotherapy
The Occupational Therapists (OT) will provide support for the development of pre-school level daily living skills including fine motor skills or development of small muscle groups, self-help skills, sensory processing and social/emotional abilities during play. The OT will:
Assess fine motor, self-help, sensory processing and social / emotional abilities needed for daily living skills
Identify needs and develop/recommend strategies surrounding development of a skill
Facilitate the use of assistive technologies for communicating, learning, and playing
Be involved with individual program plans, lesson adaptations, and classroom activities
The Physiotherapist (PT) will provide support for the development of pre-school level physical development including gross motor skills, sensory processing and motor planning. The PT will:
Assess gross motor, balance / coordination and sensory processing / motor planning skills used for physical development and daily living activities
Identify needs and develop/recommend strategies surrounding development of a skill
Be involved with individual program plans, lesson adaptations, and classroom activities
**Additional services can be contracted as needs are identified
